Planning Guide / Roadmap Toward IPv6 Adoption in the U.S. Government

The US White House just released the USG “Planning Guide/Roadmap Toward IPv6 Adoption within the US Government”. Developed by the CIO Council’s IPv6 Group, in partnership with the American Council on Technology/Industry Advisory Committee, and in consultation with and review by the Federal CIO
Community, this document outlines the Federal Government’s plan for IPv6 following the guidelines provided by the OMB Memorandum 05-22. The document lists integrated interoperability and mobility, improved security features, unconstrained address abundance, and opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and transparency as some of the benefits of IPv6.
