Profile: Merike Kaeo is the Founder and Chief Network Security Architect at Double Shot Security, Inc., a company that offers worldwide IPv4 and IPv6 network architecture design and security analysis services. Merike was the lead member of Cisco's first security initiative in 1997, has acted as a technical advisor for numerous security start-up companies, and has been a frequent speaker and instructor of security issues and solutions at security-related conferences and ISP forums around the world including RSA, NANOG, RIPE, APRICOT and SANOG. Merike is a member of the IEEE, has been an active contributor in the IETF since 1992 and was named an IPv6 Forum fellow in 2007. She was the co-chair of the IETF IPPM (IP Performance Metrics) working group from 2000-2003. Merike received her BSEE from Rutgers University and completed her MSEE degree from George Washington University.
